Mason slots into the workflow you already use.

What that looks like in practice

  • Upload the plan set to Mason AI. Open the plan set in Bluebeam (or whatever you use) and do your own quick pass — highlight in blue what needs a closer look, highlight in red what's obviously off. Get oriented to the project before looking at Mason's work.
  • Then walk through what Mason caught. Add Mason's comments to your letter with a click where Mason's reasoning makes sense. And where it doesn't, Mason learns from you.
  • Reconcile against your own markups. Anything you flagged that Mason didn't? Add it to the letter. This is the step that matters most, and Mason gives you full freedom to revise your comment letter until you've worked through it.
  • Write your comments with autocomplete that pulls the right code citation as you type. Export to Word, or, with an enterprise plan, straight into the jurisdiction's preferred format.

Feature 01 · Interface

Failed checks first. Everything else, one click away.

  • Failed code requirements surface first — the items most likely to end up in your response letter are stacked at the top of the review panel.
  • Passed and non-applicable checks are collapsed behind small buttons, one click away when you need to confirm compliance.
  • Status is visible at a glance — clear indicators for pass, fail, and N/A across every check.
  • Nothing is hidden — every check Mason ran is still accessible, just sorted.

Feature 02 · Comment Letter

Your comment letter, pre-drafted before you open the plans.

  • Sixteen drafted comments per letter, on average — covering the full code scope before your reviewer reads line one.
  • Pre-populated, not post-processed — comments land in the letter in the format your reviewers already use.
  • Significantly less review time — reviewers refine and sign off instead of drafting from a blank page.
  • Full human control — accept, edit, reorder, or delete any comment. Mason never sends a letter on its own.

Feature 03 · Code References

Every check linked to the code. No tabs required.

  • Clickable code references on every check — one click jumps straight to the cited section.
  • Code books embedded in Mason — the code lives inside the application, so reviewers never have to leave to verify a detail.
  • Cross-check AI decisions in-line — confirm or overrule Mason against the source of truth, on the same screen.
  • A design philosophy, not just a feature — empowering users with easy access to authoritative information is how we earn the right to be in your workflow.

Feature 04 · Authoring

Type a few words. Get a fully-cited comment.

  • Partial-term lookup — start typing; Mason offers matching code sections and drafts a comment to match.
  • Full citation included — the generated comment comes with the code reference already attached.
  • No context-switching — the code book is embedded, so reviewers never tab out to confirm a section number.
  • Reviewer-first authoring — Mason's comments are fully editable before you add them to the letter.
